Michael Rhys Jones DipWCF

A Lifetime With Horses

After a childhood of riding ponies at a national level, Michael Rhys Jones qualified as a farrier in 2004 after serving his 5-year apprenticeship in Bedfordshire. After a year working in Lambourne for leading racehorse trainers, Michael was honored to become the youngest ever Seargent Farrier to the Royal Household looking after HRH The Queen's horses in Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and The Royal Paddocks at Hampton Court.

Michael also provided farriery services across Surrey to leading equine professionals and equestrian establishments. Working with many veterinary practices to provide remedial farriery services to horses with complicated issues and injuries.

​

Michael is a Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust Scholar, invented "The Farriers App" a leading farriers software provider, and has also represented Wales playing polo.

​

Now back in Swansea Michael spends his time looking after horses in Gower and Swansea
